The launching event for Millennial Beacon will be a global forum unlike any event seen before in history. It will occur in Early 2010 and be hosted in Atlanta, GA.

We will bring together Heads of State, Nobel Laureates, academic Leaders, Cultural Icons, and Representatives From Our Generation to address ten contentions that are vital to our generation. These ten issues are as follows:

1. Economy/Recession
2. Climate Change and Its Consequences
3. Human Rights
4. Genocide
5. Education and Research
6. Poverty and Disease
7. Cultural and Religious Conflict
8. Corporate Climate
9. International Dialogue and Communication
10. Diligent Questioning and Debate of Policy

We have are currently in the process of contacting speakers, exploring different avenues for funding, and finalizing logistics for our Global Forum Event. We have decided that the best way to communicate speakers and other exciting news is through press releases that we will publish in different university and high school publications around the country, in addition to traditional media outlets, millennialbeacon.org, and the Millennial Beacon facebook group. 

Although we are not ready to release specifics, try to think of the Millennial Beacon Global Forum as a combination of a United Nations Summit, Live 8 Concert Series, World Economic Forum, and University Seminar Session combined with cutting edge Online Collaborative technology and international focus.
